I am a contemporary abstract artist from Ukraine, currently based in Europe.
I paint what remains after a person is gone from the room. The residue of presence. The weight of a gaze that stays.
My work moves between appearance and disappearance. Faces and eyes surface through layers of paint only to dissolve again. I am interested in the moment when recognition becomes uncertain, when you are no longer sure whether you are looking at someone or at the memory of them.
Working primarily in acrylic, I build and erase surfaces until the image feels both intimate and distant. The paintings do not describe people. They hold the emotional temperature that people leave behind.
Two series run in parallel.
Visages focuses on identity and the lasting impression of the other.
Emotional Horizons explores distance, tension and the quiet space between presence and absence.
I returned to painting after a long pause. That return was not nostalgic. It was a decision to work with what cannot be fully said.
